On April 2nd, 2016, the 21st session of Milan Triennale International Exhibition opened officially in Milan, Italy, with the theme of "21st century. Design after Design". The Triennale had been suspended since1996. And it came out again after a lapse of 20 years in 2016. C. R. Lin, the design director of CROX, has been invited to the Triennale.
Milan Triennale was known as one of three major art exhibition in Italy, together with Florence International Biennale of Contemporary Art and Venice Biennale. As a globally recognized high level exhibition around the world, it involves the nature of strong interdisciplinarity and high academic authority.
C. R. Lin, the design director of CROX, has become the curator of the main stadium called Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci and the designer of a 3*3m independent space device called "Rounds", appointed by Milan Triennale and the Heart + Design League. "Rounds" used design to explore the art field of suspended ceilings, breaking through the practical field. It filled the 26 pieces of transparent PC sheets with Chinese calligraphy, to show the traditional oriental culture and philosophy. The assisted manufacturer is the Youpon Integrated Ceiling CO., LTD.
